I will assess the valuation of CLPS by taking into account the number of employees. The following is the number of workers employed by the company’s international peers:


Wipro (WIT) employs 162,553 workers and has an enterprise value of $21 billion. So, its EV/Employees ratio is 0.12x ($21,000 million/162,553 workers)


Tata Consultancy Services (OTCPK:TTNQY) has 394,998 workers and an enterprise value of $86 billion. Consequently, its EV/Employees ratio is 0.22x.


Infosys (INFY) has 204,107 employees and an enterprise value of 32 billion. I got an EV/Employees ratio of 0.15x.


With these numbers in mind, I will use an EV/Employees ratio of 0.1x because the company’s size is much smaller than that of its competitors.

I obtained an implied enterprise value of $160 million (1600 employees x 0.15x). Adding $4.8 million in cash and $10 million from the IPO, I obtained an implied equity of $174.8 million. Finally, dividing by 13.29 million shares (11.290 million shares + 2 million IPO shares), I got an implied stock price of $13 per share.
